At least that’s Microsoft’s thinking. They are going to spend one billion dollars to advertise Kinect and Windows Phone 7.
I can see spending 500 million dollars on the relaunch of Windows Phone. It’s an entirely new product and there is potentially more money to be made because the market is bigger. Way more people have cell phones than game consoles. But the thought of spending 500 million dollars (as reported by D) to advertise a gaming accessory… that seems like a bit much.
Microsoft is definitely making a push to own your wallet this holiday. They’re looking to make sure you know about their products in the living room and in your pocket.
