X-Men: Days of Future Past - Trailer 3

Bryan Singer just tweeted a link to the final trailer for X-men Days of Future Past. Honestly, I’m not watching this trailer because I have a rule about watching new trailers for movies I already know I want to see. If we’re six weeks away and there’s a new trailer, I don’t watch it. It almost always gives away too much story.

But I thought you all might be interested. So… here you go.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Trailer 2

This movie. It’s like watching a train wreck happen in slow motion.

Veronica Mars - Trailer

A high school reunion is the perfect way to frame this movie. Really excited for this movie. It was the second thing I ever kickstarted.

Interstellar - Trailer

The first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s next movie, Interstellar. Yes, please.

/Film has the new Amazing Spider-Man 2 posters… oh boy.

This is the first time I’ve ever been worried for a Spider-Man film. I wasn’t worried about Spider-Man 3 (everything leading up to the release looked solid, it just turns out that they gave Sam Raimi a bit too much freedom) and I wasn’t worried about Amazing Spider-Man (which actually seemed interesting but, the chopped out all the parts that made it interesting. The “untold story” that was so prevalent in the marketing leading up was left on the cutting room floor).

But this. This has all the makings of bad superhero film. I thought we, as a species, had gotten over the whole “too many ridiculous looking villains in one movie” thing. See Batman and Robin if you don’t know what I’m talking about.

This is it. Sony, it’s time to give Spider-Man back to Marvel, so they can work him into the Avengers universe.

Gravity - Trailer

Alfonso Cuarón’s first feature since 2006. I think it looks great, but like, there’s no way either of these two are going to survive right? This is the guy who directed Children of Men… the ending wasn’t exactly happy, and he’s not known for keeping characters alive.

Fast and the Furious 6 - Extended Trailer

This movie is going to be insane in all of the best ways.

Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof’s ’1952′ Officially Titled ‘Tomorrowland’

That’s very Disney of Disney to name a movie after one of the lands in Disney World. They already have a history of making moveis based on rides (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion).

There’s very little information about 1952 Tomorrowland, but if you’ve ever been to Disney World, having this name begins to paint a picture of what this movie is going to feel like.

World War Z - Trailer

I read this book. This looks nothing like it. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, it just needs to be pointed out.

I always thought Brad Pitt was going to be the journalist traveling around collecting stories from survivors. He’s not. He’s definitely doing something else.

Bryan Singer On Days Of Future Past And Marvel Movieverse Style Connectivity Between Films In The X-Men Series

The producer says that it’s so, so it’s so: the sequel to X-Men: First Class is calledX-Men: Days of Future Past and will take many of its cues from Chris Claremont and john Byrne’s comics.

Whoa.  First Class was a good direction for the series, and Days of Future Past is an iconic part of the X-Men story.  I trust Singer on this, he hasn’t failed me yet (reminder he had nothing to do with X3) but cautiously optimistic about this.
